In May this year, Ukrainian steelmaker Zaporizhstal's finished steel product output decreased by 12.3 percent year on year to 272,000 mt, its pig iron production moved down by 17 percent to 285,500 mt, while its crude steel production fell by 11 percent year on year to 325,200 mt, according to the company's results.
In the January-May period this year, Zaporizhstal saw an 8.4 percent year-on-year decrease in its finished steel product output to 1.32 million mt and an 8.5 percent year-on-year decline in its pig iron output to 1.39 million mt, while its crude steel production declined by 3.3 percent year on year to 1.58 million mt.
