Zaporizhstal to start construction of new oxygen converter shop in 2010

The Ukrainian steelmaker Zaporizhstal has announced that in 2010 it intends to start the construction of its new oxygen converter shop and to complete the switch from open hearth steel production by 2018.

Before starting construction work, Zaporizhstal first intends to dismantle all units on the planned site of the oxygen converter shop. Other details have not been disclosed.
