Work starts on pipeline to bring natural gas to Panzhihua, Sichuan

Construction work on extending the Sino-Burma natural gas pipeline from Chuxiong in China's Yunnan Province to Panzhihua in Sichuan Province got underway on July 6, as announced by officials at Panzhihua Municipal Development and Reform Commission.
 
The extension of the pipeline with bring natural gas to Panzhihua for the first time. Work on the pipeline extension, which will cover a total length of 240 km, is expected to be completed in the second half of 2013.
