VTZ's sales rise 5.5 percent in 1Q

Volgsky Tube Plant (VTZ) has reported 5.5 percent increase in sales year on year to 230,300 tons of pipes in the first quarter of 2006. VTZ is a part of Tube Metallurgical Company (TMK), the largest Russian pipe manufacture, which manages Volgsky, Sinarsky, Seversky Tube Plants and Taganrogsky Metallurgical Plant.
