Vallourec completes extension of Chinese pipe plant

Vallourec, France-based global manufacturer of pipes and tubes, has announced that it has completed the extension of its pipe plant in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province, China.
 
Vallourec's Chinese subsidiary V & M Changzhou, commissioned in 2006, was up to now exclusively dedicated to the finishing of seamless pipes for power plants. With this extension, the Chinese plant will produce large diameter, premium seamless pipes, specifically designed to meet the needs of the new generation of power plants.
 
According to Vallourec's statement, the company is positioning itself to serve its Chinese customers over the long-term in the development of the country's power generation capacities.
