Brazilian miner and iron ore producer Vale is reportedly interested in using the Ferrovia Paraense railway, located in the state of Para, to transport its iron ore, according to a media report.

The Ferrovia Paraense, a state-owned railway that will be sold to the private initiative through a concession tender, will connect the north and south parts of Para state through 1,312 km of rails, linking different cities and iron ore producers to the local port of Barcarena, located in the city of same name in the state of Para.

The railway concession tender is expected for Q1 2018. Vale did not disclose how much iron ore it would be interested in transporting through the railway.
