US structural pipe and tube exports rise 8.2 percent in January

US exports of structural pipe and tube totaled 12,995 mt in January, up 8.2 percent from December and up 0.8 percent from January 2016 levels. By value, structural pipe and tube exports totaled $15.2 million in January, compared to $14.9 million in the previous month and $14.4 million the same month last year.
 
The US shipped the most structural pipe and tube to Canada in January, with 9,316 mt, compared to 8,839 mt in December and 7,753 mt in January 2016. Other destinations included Mexico, with 3,177 mt. There were no other notable (over 1,000 mt) destinations for US structural pipe and tube exports in January.
