US structural pipe and tube exports fall 21.1 percent in April

US exports of structural pipe and tube totaled 11,510 mt in April, down 21.1 percent from March and down 15.7 percent from April 2016 levels. By value, structural pipe and tube exports totaled $14.3 million in April, compared to $17.5 million in the previous month and $16.6 million the same month last year.
 
The US shipped the most structural pipe and tube to Canada in April, with 8,178 mt, compared to 10,392 mt in March and 9,516 mt in April 2016. Other top destinations included Mexico, with 2,883 mt. There were no other notable (over 1,000 mt) destinations for US structural pipe and tube exports in April.
