According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of structural pipe and tube totaled 13,836 mt in October, down 4.1 percent from September but up 9.6 percent from October 2016 levels. By value, structural pipe and tube exports totaled $17.8 million in October, compared to $18.7 million in the previous month and $15.8 million the same month last year.
The US shipped the most structural pipe and tube to Canada in October with 9,629 mt, compared to 10,128 mt in September and 7,646 mt in October 2016. Other top destinations included Mexico, with 3,222 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US export structural pipe and tube in October.
