Baker Hughes has reported that for the week ending July 28, 2023, the US rotary rig count declined by five rigs to 664.
The number of rigs drilling for gas decreased by three to 128, while the number of rigs drilling for oil dropped by one to 530. The overall US rig count is down by 103 rigs in a year-on-year comparison.
Meanwhile, the Canadian rig count increased by six to 193 rigs in the week ending July 28. The Canadian rig count is down by 11 rigs compared to the same reporting period last year.
