US OCTG imports down 19.1 percent in March 2026 from February

According to preliminary census data from the US Department of Commerce, US imports of oil country tubular goods (OCTG) totaled 93,657 mt in March this year, down 19.1 percent from February and down 34.9 percent year on year. By value, OCTG imports totaled $105.13 million in March, compared to $129.96 million in February and $191.77 million in the same month in 2025.

The US imported the most OCTG from South Korea in March with 22,566 mt, compared to 53,700 mt in February and 27,226 mt in March 2025. Other top sources of imported OCTG in March include Taiwan with 22,556 mt, Canada with 11,272 mt, and the UAE with 11,137 mt.
