US OCTG exports down 4.9 percent in November

According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of oil country tubular goods (OCTG) totaled 18,667 mt in November 2019, down 4.9 percent from October and down 21.4 percent from November 2018 levels. By value, OCTG exports totaled $38.5 million in November, compared to $57.9 million in the previous month and $26.3 million the same month last year.

The US shipped the most OCTG to Canada in November with 10,485 mt, compared to 10,561 mt in October and 10,865 mt in November 2018. Other top destinations included Spain, with 2,658 mt; and United Kingdom, with 1,107 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US OCTG exports in November.
