US OCTG exports down 3.1 percent in July

According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of oil country tubular goods (OCTG) totaled 15,279 mt in July 2019, down 3.1 percent from June but up 0.2 percent from July 2018 levels. By value, OCTG exports totaled $30.1 million in July, compared to $28.9 million in the previous month and $32.9 million the same month last year.

The US shipped the most OCTG to Canada in July with 8,317 mt, compared to 10,889 mt in June and 10,450 mt in July 2018. Other top destinations included Mexico, with 1,858 mt; Spain, with 1,126 mt; and United Kingdom, with 1,022 mt.
