US ITC initiates AD and CVD probes on wire mesh imports from Mexico

Wednesday, 08 July 2020 20:09:57 (GMT+3)   |   Istanbul

The US International Trade Commission (ITC) has initiated antidumping and countervailing duty investigations into imports of standard steel welded wire mesh from Mexico, in response to a petition filed June 30, 2020, by a group of US producers including Insteel Industries Inc., Mid South Wire Company, National Wire LLC, Oklahoma Steel & Wire Co. and Wire Mesh Corp.

The petition alleges that the import products in question are being sold in the US at less than fair value, and that the domestic industry is being materially injured or is threatened with material injury by reason of such imports.

If there are no extensions, the ITC will issue a preliminary determination in these investigations within 45 days, or in this case, by August 14, 2020.
