According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of drawn wire totaled 6,737 mt in January this year, up 12.5 percent month on month and down 15.0 percent year on year. By value, drawn wire exports totaled $18.1 million in January compared to $17.7 million in the previous month and $20.56 million in the same month of 2025.
The US shipped the most drawn wire to Canada in January with 2,831 mt, compared to 1,845 mt in December and 3,297 mt in January 2025. The other top destination was Mexico with 2,702 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US drawn wire in January.
