The US Department of Commerce (DOC) announced Monday that it is extending the time limit for its preliminary results of the antidumping (AD) administrative review of circular welded carbon steel pipe and tube from Thailand. The review covers two exporters: Saha Thai Steel Pipe Company, Ltd., and Pacific Pipe Public Company Limited.

The DOC said that it needs time to evaluate the questionnaire responses from both companies. In particular, the DOC needs additional time to analyze the cost of production for both Saha Thai and Pacific Pipe.

The deadline for the preliminary determination has now been extended from 245 days to 365 days and the DOC must provide its determination by March 30, 2012. Originally, the preliminary results were anticipated December 1, 2011.
