Ural Steel, VMZ strengthen partnership

Ural Steel, a part of MetalloInvest Holding, and OMK's Vyksunsk Iron and Steel Works (VMZ) have agreed to further strengthen their partnership. As a part of the mutual agreement, the plants have listed the measures to be taken to develop flat rolled products and pipes productions in 2006-2007. In the framework of agreement, OMK-Stal will place an order to Ural Steel for 300 tons of rolled products, whereas the latter will consider supplying rolled metal products for pipe production under the order of Transneft and proceed with working on developing K60 flat products technology for production of 1,422 mm pipes for the gas major GasProm.
