Ukrainian crude steel production to increase in June

According to the Ukrainian association of metal producers Metallurgprom, in June this year Ukraine's crude steel production will increase by 2.5 percent compared to April, to 3.07 million mt.

According to Metallurgprom's forecast, pig iron output in Ukraine will reach 2.5 million mt in June, while production of rolled steel will rise to 2.73 million mt.

In April this year, Ukraine's crude steel production had decreased by three percent compared to March, to 2.995 million mt.

In January-April 2011, crude steel output in Ukraine increased by 5.8 percent compared to the same period of 2010, climbing to 11.631 million mt.
