Ukraine’s average daily steel output continues to fall in May

According to the Ukrainian association of metal producers Metallurgprom, in May this year Ukrainian metallurgical companies continue to see a fall in their average daily output of steel, following the same trend in April, due to the worsening of market conditions.

Meanwhile, in April Ukraine's average daily output of pig iron decreased by 600 mt compared to March, to 80,400 mt, production of rolled steel declined by 5,700 mt month on month to 89,400 mt, though average daily output of crude steel increased by 300 mt month on month to 100,300 mt.
