Ukraine-based DMKD’s steel production declines in 2014

Dneprovsky Iron and Steel Works named after F. Dzerzhinsky (DMKD), a subsidiary of Ukrainian steel producer Industrial Union of Donbass (ISD), has reported that in 2014 it produced 2.53 million mt of rolled steel, down 15.1 percent year on year.

In 2014, DMKD saw a 13.6 percent year-on-year decline in its crude steel output to 2.53 million mt and an 8.3 percent decrease in its pig iron production to 2.42 million mt.

In December 2014, the company produced 215,000 mt of rolled steel, 231,000 mt of crude steel and 224,000 mt of pig iron, compared to 209,000 mt of rolled steel, 215,000 mt of crude steel and 208,000 mt of pig iron in November of the same year.
