In December 2010,
Ukraine's steel
pipe exports increased by 32.4 percent compared to November and by 31.4 percent compared to December 2009, to 156,860 mt, valued at $176.6 million, up 38 percent month on month.
Specifically, in December 2010
Ukraine exported 53,000 mt of seamless pipes - down 10.4 percent month on month, of which 10,520 mt were delivered to
Russia, with 8,680 mt exported to US and 5,760 mt shipped to
Turkey.
Ukraine's exports of steel pipes of more than 406.4 mm outside diameter amounted to 68,800 mt in December - up 170 percent month on month, of which 62,070 mt were delivered to
Russia, 2,740 mt to
Belarus and 1,600 mt to
Kazakhstan.
In addition, in December 2010
Ukraine exported 35,060 mt of other tubes, pipes and hollow profiles - up 3.8 percent month on month, of which 11,310 mt were shipped to
Russia, 5,060 mt to Azerbaijan and 4,510 mt to
Belarus.
