Ukraine-based KZhRK’s iron ore output up 48.1 percent in February from January

In February this year, Dnipro region-based Ukrainian iron ore producer Kryviy Rih Iron Ore Industrial Complex (KZhRK) mined 200,000 mt of undeground iron ore, up 48.1 percent compared to the previous month. Although the output in February has remained notably lower than in the same month a year ago, namely, by 39.1 percent, the company completely met its extraction targets.

Meanwhile, in the January-February period of the current year, the company produced 335,000 mt of sinter ore, down 50.3 percent year on year, consisting of 80,000 mt of iron ore mined at the Ternivska mine, 90,000 mt at Kozatska, 75,000 mt at Pokrovska and 90,000 mt at Kryvorizka.
