Turkey’s wire rod exports up 106.4 percent in January

According to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in January this year Turkey's wire rod exports increased by 106.4 percent year on year to 148,790 metric tons, up 111.4 percent compared to the previous month. The revenue from these exports amounted to $65 million, up 121 percent month on month and rising by 163 percent compared to the same month of the previous year.


 
In January, Turkey's largest wire rod export destination was the US which received 23,106 metric tons. The US was followed by the Netherlands with 20,000 metric tons and the Israel with 14,378 metric tons.
