Turkey’s steel pipe exports up 52.9% in May

In the first five months of the current year, Turkey's steel pipe exports increased by 12.82 percent year on year to 832,174 metric tons, according to the statistics provided by the Turkish Steel Pipe Manufacturers Association (CEBID). The value of these exports totaled $708.53 million, increasing by 7.99 percent year on year.
 
In the first five months this year, the largest export markets for Turkish steel pipes were Iraq, the US and the UK. In the given period, Turkish steel pipe exports to Iraq increased by 3.11 percent to 171,720 mt, while exports to the US increased by 37.96 percent to 130,025 mt and exports to the UK surged by 109.64 percent to 125,822 mt, all year on year. Meanwhile, in the given period, Turkey's steel pipe exports to Israel increased by 151.01 percent year on year.
 
On the other hand, in May this year, Turkey's steel pipe exports increased by 52.86 percent year on year and were up 26.57 percent month on month, amounting to 203,089 mt. The value of these exports was $167.19 million, up 39.98 percent year on year and rising by 19 percent month on month.
