Turkey’s steel export volume up 12.4 percent in January

In January this year, Turkey's steel exports increased by 12.4 percent year on year to 1.65 million mt, while the value of these exports moved up by 34.9 percent year on year to $1.28 billion, according to the data released by the Turkish Steel Producers' Association (TCUD). 

In the given period, Turkey's long steel exports rose by 2.5 percent to 958,000 mt, while flat steel exports increased by 71.8 percent to 346,000 mt, as compared to January 2017. Also, the country’s semi-finished steel exports grew by 30.5 percent to 59,000 mt year on year.
