Turkey’s steel export volume up 0.4 percent in January-November

In the January-November  period of last year, Turkey's steel exports increased by 0.4 percent year on year to 15.3 million mt, while the value of these exports decreased by 9.9 percent year on year to $9.75 billion, according to the data released by the Turkish Steel Producers' Association (TCUD). 
 
In the given period, Turkey's long steel exports fell by 0.5 percent to 9.17 million mt, while flat steel exports increased by 17 percent to 2.68 million mt, both on year-on-year basis.
 
In November last year, Turkey's steel exports grew by 8.3 percent to 1.35 million mt, with a value of $918.8 million, up 9.9 percent, both year on year.
 
In November, the increase in exports of flat steel products continued on year-on-year basis. In November last year, Turkey's flat steel exports grew by 45.3 percent to 298,000 mt, while the long steel product exports of the country decreased by 1.1 percent to 720,800 mt, both compared to the same month of 2015.
