In July this year, Turkey's seamless pipe imports amounted to 11,974 metric tons, down 47.96 percent year on year and decreasing by 22.39 percent compared to June, while the value of these imports totaled $22.48 million, down 23.98 percent year on year and increasing by 11.97 percent month on month, according to the statistics provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).
Meanwhile, in the first seven months of this year Turkey's seamless pipe imports decreased by 0.1 percent to 121,628 metric tons, while the value of these imports amounted to $181.22 million, up 4.76 percent, both on year-on-year basis.
In the first seven months of the current year, Turkey's seamless pipe imports from China, Turkey's largest seamless pipe import source since 2009, amounted to 69,697 metric tons, up 10.07 percent year on year. China was followed by Ukraine and Germany, with respectively 14,641 metric tons and 10,765 metric tons of seamless pipe exports to Turkey in the given period.
