Turkey’s PPGI exports up 48.5 percent in January-October

According to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in October this year Turkey's pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI) exports amounted to 10,701 mt, down 3.3 percent month on month and down 9.02 percent year on year, while the revenue from these exports totaled $9.4 million, falling by 14.5 percent compared to September and down 34 percent compared to the same month of 2016. 

In the January-October period this year, Turkey’s PPGI exports increased by 48.5 percent to 113,768 mt, while the revenue from these exports amounted to $105.06 million, up 60.5 percent, both year on year.

Romania was Turkey's leading PPGI export destination in the first ten months of the current year, with imports of 17,323 mt of PPGI from Turkey. In the given period, Romania was followed by Bulgaria and Russia, whose PPGI imports from Turkey amounted to 16,582 mt and 8,734 mt respectively.
