Turkey’s PPGI exports up 39.1 percent in H1

According to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in June this year Turkey's pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI) exports amounted to 12,708 mt, up 6.56 percent month on month and up 42.9 percent year on year, while the revenue from these exports totaled $11.9 million, rising by 4.9 percent compared to May and up 39.5 percent compared to the same month of 2016. 

In the January-June period this year, Turkey’s PPGI exports increased by 39.1 percent to 52,350 mt, while the revenue from these exports amounted to $59.5 million, up 83.4 percent, both year on year.

Bulgaria was Turkey's leading PPGI export destination in the first six months of the current year, with imports of 8,457 mt of PPGI from Turkey. In the given period, Bulgaria was followed by Romania and Russia, whose PPGI imports from Turkey amounted to 8,079 mt and 5,897 mt respectively.
