According to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in October this year Turkey's pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI) exports amounted to 24,289 mt, increasing by 38.8 percent month on month and up 127 percent year on year, while the revenue from these exports totaled $22.77 million, up 38.8 percent compared to September and increasing by 142.5 percent compared to the same month of 2017.
During January-October period of the year, Turkey’s PPGI exports increased by 38.6 percent to 157,695 mt, while the revenue from these exports amounted to $153.4 million, up 46 percent, both year on year.
Greece was Turkey's leading PPGI export destination in the first ten months of the current year, with imports of 21,226 mt of PPGI from Turkey. In the given period, Greece was followed by the US and Bulgaria, whose PPGI imports from Turkey amounted to 17,994 mt and 16,542 mt respectively.
