Turkey’s PPGI exports down 32 percent in January-October

According to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in the first ten months this year Turkey's pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI) exports amounted to 101,656 mt, decreasing by 32 percent, while the revenue from these exports totaled $91.3 million, down 39.4 percent, both on year-on-year basis. 
 
In October this year, Turkey's PPGI exports increased by 25 percent year on year to 13,215 metric tons. The revenue from these exports amounted to $11.7 million, up 4.6 percent year on year. 
 
Bulgaria was Turkey's leading PPGI export destination in the January-October period, with imports of 11,623 mt of PPGI from Turkey, up 20.31 percent year on year. In the given period, Bulgaria was followed by Azerbaijan and Russia, with Azerbaijan's PPGI imports from Turkey amounting to 10,958 mt, while Russia received 10,101 mt of PPGI from Turkey in this period.
