According to the monthly statistics released by the Turkish Automotive Manufacturers' Association (OSD), in November this year Turkey's motor vehicle output totaled 104,014 units, increasing by three percent year on year and up 11.4 percent compared to October this year.
In November, Turkey's passenger car output totaled 52,532 units - up one percent, its commercial vehicle production amounted to 48,217 units - up eight percent, while tractor production amounted to 3,265 units - down 20 percent, all compared to November 2011.
The overall production capacity utilization rate of the Turkish automotive industry in October this year was 76 percent, up compared to the 68 percent recorded in October this year. In the first 11 months of the year, the production capacity utilization rate was also 68 percent.
Meanwhile, in the first 11 months of this year, the country's total motor vehicle output amounted to 1,026,046 units, down nine percent year on year. Passenger car output in the given period totaled 531,952, while commercial vehicle production stood at 453,433 units, decreasing by 10 percent and nine percent respectively, both compared to the corresponding period of 2011.
