According to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in September this year
Turkey's longitudinally welded tube and profile exports totaled 45,299 mt, rising 5.5 percent compared to the previous month and up 34.7 percent compared to September 2011. In the first nine months of the current year, Turkish longitudindally welded tube and profile exports amounted to 388,836 mt, increasing by 23.7 percent compared to the same period of 2011.
In the third quarter of the year,
Turkey's longitudinally welded tube and profile exports to the US reached 38,685 mt, increasing 69.3 percent over the previous quarter and up 4.5 times compared to the same period of 2011. The EU imported 53,834 mt of the product in question from
Turkey in the third quarter, recording a strong quarter-on-quarter fall for the second consecutive quarter, but down just 2.3 percent on year-on-year basis.
Turkey's longitudinally welded tube and profile exports to the Middle East in the third quarter of the year amounted to 21,028 mt, rising by 33.8 percent compared to the third quarter of the previous year.
Meanwhile, in September the country's spirally welded
pipe exports totaled 17,241 mt, falling 22.8 percent compared to the previous month and down 22 percent compared to the same month of 2011. In the first nine months, the spirally welded
pipe exports of
Turkey amounted to 134,447 mt, down 1.1 percent compared to the January-September period of 2011.
