According to a statement released by the Turkish Steel Producers' Association (TCUD), Turkish crude steel output in November this year decreased by 5.8 percent month on month and was up by seven percent year on year to 3.11 million mt.
In the given month, Turkey's crude steel output by electric arc furnaces increased by 16.2 percent, while production by integrated plants decreased by 11.7 percent, both year on year.
In the January-November period of this year, Turkish crude steel output rose by 12.7 percent to 34.25 million mt, year on year. In the given period, Turkey's crude steel output by electric arc furnaces rose by 18.5 percent to 23.7 million mt, while production by integrated plants increased by 1.3 percent to 10.4 million mt, both year on year.
In the January-November period of this year, Turkey's billet output increased by 10.8 percent to 23.5 million metric tons, while its slab output rose by 17 percent to 10.7 million metric tons, both on year-on-year basis.
