TMK to set up new pipe casting line

The Russian pipe producer TMK Group (TMK) has announced that it will install a new finishing line for casting pipes with an annual capacity of 200,000 metric tons at its subsidiary Volzhsky Pipe Plant (Volzhsky).

The new equipment will be supplied by Germany-based firms IVTWH, EMAR, and USA-based Bronx, while the equipment will be installed by Russia's Teploenergomontazh.

The new line is scheduled to ready for June 2008 at Volzhsky's pipe rolling workshop No.3, which rolls pipes with diameters from 168 to 426 mm for use in the oil and gas industry, and also in the power supply industry.
