The iron ore block has reserves of 1.68 million mt and the highest bid was submitted by iron ore mining service provider KAI International.

In the current round of auctions of mining leases, earlier this week JSW Steel Limited had emerged as the successful bidder for the Cudnem-Cormolem block, while Fomento Resources was successful in bidding for the Advalpale-Tivim block.
