India’s LMEL sees 120% rise in iron ore output in FY 2025-26

India’s Lloyds Metal and Energy Limited (LMEL) achieved iron ore production of 21.96 million mt in the fiscal year 2025-26, a rise of 120 percent year on year, according to a regulatory filing on Thursday, April 2.

The company reported iron ore pellet production at 9.1 million mt for the given year, a rise of 529 percent, while its direct reduction iron (DRI) output was 484,000 mt, a growth of 57 percent, year on year.

LMEL said that in the current fiscal year 2026-27 it is targeting iron ore production of 26 million mt.
