Maximo Vedoya, CEO at Ternium, was appointed CEO at Mexican steel association Canacero, the executive said this week.

Vedoya, who has been serving as Ternium CEO since March 1, was appointed CEO at the local trade group on April 17, during a Canacero meeting.

Vedoya, an industrial engineer who has held a number of positions at Ternium-related companies, including commercial planning at Argentina’s Siderar and Ternium Mexico’s director of international and steel purchases, will take on the role for about a year. The term may be extended for a further two-year term.

He replaces Guillermo Vogel, vice-president at Tenaris Tamsa.
