Stocks of main finished steel products in China down 4.7% in late May

On May 31 this year, overall domestic inventories of the five main finished steel products in 21 major cities in China totaled 7.94 million mt, down 390,000 mt or 4.7 percent compared to May 20, as announced by the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA).  

In particular, as of May 31, domestic inventories of HRC, wire rod and rebar decreased by 4.5 percent, 11.8 percent and 6.0 percent, respectively, while inventory of both CRC and medium steel plate remained stable, all compared to May 20.
