Spain’s industrial turnover and new order indexes rise in August

The Spanish industrial turnover index in August increased by 3.8 percent, while the seasonally-adjusted turnover index rose by the same margin, both year on year. In July, the indexes were down 2.1 percent and 6.2 percent year on year, respectively. The figures were provided by the Spanish national statistics office (INE).
 
On the other hand, the new orders index and the seasonally adjusted new orders index for Spanish industry in the month of August both rose by one percent, having fallen by 2.6 percent and 6.2 percent respectively in July, all year on year.
 
In the first eight months of the current year, the Spanish industrial turnover index recorded a 2.3 percent fall, while the new orders index declined by two percent, both year on year.
