Peru’s key iron ore producer, Shougang Hierro Peru, is using a Russian management system to improve operations, according to media reports. The company will use the $750,000 software to design improved transportation routes, and reduce downtime and the risk of emergency situations.

Sensors were installed on trucks, excavators and drilling rigs and transmit data to servers using Wi-Fi technology, through which Shougang Hierro Peru aims to increase mining volumes.
