Severstal’s Cherepovets mill to upgrade cold rolling mill

Russian steelmaker Severstal has announced that in 2013 its Cherepovets Steel Mill, a part of its Russia-based steel division, is going to renovate its cold rolling mill which began production 50 years ago. The company intends to construct a new modern mill. When the revamp is completed, the quality of cold rolled products will be improved and annual output at the mill will increase by 200,000 mt to 1.3 million mt.
 
In 2013, Cherepovets Steel Mill also plans to build a new section mill at its steelmaking plant.
