Russian steelmaker Severstal has announced that its Cherepovets Steel Mill is expanding its cooperation with producers of household appliances.

For the first time Severstal has signed a quarterly agreement with Turkey-based household appliance manufacturer Beko for the delivery of cold rolled (CR) products to produce household appliances. The company also stated that it has received an approval from another Turkish household appliance producer Vestel for a batch of grade DC03 cold rolled products for application in the manufacture of washing machines, with the first pilot batch scheduled to be delivered to the client's plant in Turkey in October this year.

Additionally, Severstal has restarted delivery of cold rolled products for Russia-based manufacturer of household refrigerators Biryusa. Severstal's rolled products are used to make the refrigerator bodies.
