Sandeli Stainless Steel commissions new steel pipe production lines

On January 30, Jiangsu Province-based Chinese steel producer Sandeli Stainless Steel Group carried out trial tests on all its 10 new lines for the production of titanium tubes for application in nuclear power stations as well as stainless steel welded pipes, as reported by Yixing Daily.
 
During the trial tests, a total of 30 mt of titanium tubes and stainless steel welded pipes were produced. In addition, Sandeli Stainless Steel also revealed that its order book is full for the first quarter of the current year.

In October 2011, Sandeli Stainless Steel launched construction of the third stage of its capacity expansion project including the 10 production lines in question. The total cost of the third stage amounted to RMB 1 billion ($158.7 million). The project is expected to annually produce 150,000 mt of stainless steel welded pipes and 20,000 mt of titanium tubes for nuclear power stations.
