SAIL will invest to Durgapur Steel Plant

Durgapur Steel Plant's invesment proposal has received approval from the Indian steel producer Steel Authority of India Ltd. (SAIL). According to proposal, SAIL will install bloom caster in the first phase and a couple of finishing mills at a later stage. SAIL will invest Rupees 1.5 billion for the bloom caster. This new bloom caster will reduce the operating cost and improve the quantity as well as quality and efficiency. The new caster is scheduled to complete in around 2 years and will have an annual capacity of around 1 million tons.
