The Russian steel pipe producer TMK Group (TMK) has announced that in late 2010 a qualification audit of the state Italian company ENI, one of the largest oil and gas companies in the world which produces and processes hydrocarbons in 70 countries, was carried out at TMK subsidiaries Volzhsky pipe plant (VTZ) and Taganrog Metallurgical Works (Tagmet).
The main purpose of the ENI audit was to check the capabilities of VTZ and Tagmet for the production of seamless steel pipes in accordance with international standards.
As a result of the audit, ENI specialists confirmed the compliance of the steel pipe production of VTZ and Tagmet with international standards, and thus has included both producers in the list of approved suppliers of ENI.
