According to estimates made by Moscow Bank, with reference to the data released by the Russian Federation's Federal State Statistics Service, in February-March the Russian steel industry is expected to maintain its upward production trend, reaching an output of about 4.3-4.5 million mt of finished steel products in March, i.e. around 70-85 percent of the country's total production capacity.

Meanwhile, no positive dynamic will be observed in Russia's steel pipe industry, says Moscow Bank.

As SteelOrbis previously reported, in January Russia produced 3.5 million mt of finished steel products - up 29.6 percent compared to 2.7 million mt produced in November 2008.
