Russia’s car output up 88.2 percent in January-August

According to the data released by the Russian Federation's Federal State Statistics Service, in the first eight months of this year the country's passenger car output went up by 88.2 percent to 697,000 units, its truck output increased by 54.4 percent to 85,800 units, its bus output rose by 38.5 percent to 23,000 units, while the output of trolley buses went down by 30.8 percent to 233 units, all compared to the same period last year.
