Russian steel pipe output up 6.6 percent in June

According to the Russia's Federal State Statistics Service, in June this year Russia's steel pipe production increased by 6.6 percent year on year to almost 988,000 mt.
 
Of the total production volume, the output of seamless pipes increased by 6.4 percent to 282,000 mt and welded pipe production dropped down by 24.6 percent to 19,500 mt, both compared to the same period of the previous year. Meanwhile, the output of large diameter ERW pipes increased by 38.2 percent to 349,000 mt, while the output of medium and small diameter ERW pipes decreased by 11.8 percent to 337,000 mt, both year on year.
