The World Trade Organization (WTO) has announced that Russia has filed for dispute settlement regarding the antidumping measures imposed by the European Union on certain welded tubes and pipes of iron or non-alloy steel and on certain seamless steel pipes of iron or steel from Russia.

In Russia's view the administrative procedures, methodologies or practices of the European Union for the calculation of the dumping margin in antidumping investigations and reviews appear to be, in several respects, not in conformity with the obligations of the EU under several WTO agreements.

The WTO said that this is the first dispute originated by Russia since it became a full member in August 2012.
